About Us

CityChurch is a reformed, gospel-centered congregation of about 60–80 current weekly attendance. In a season of healing and rebuilding, we are looking for a spiritually mature, humble leader of demonstrated integrity — someone committed to transparency, accountability, and shepherding our congregation in fulfilling our mission “to proclaim and live the good news of God’s redemptive reign, making disciples of Jesus Christ to the glory of the Father in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.”

Key Responsibilities

  • Preaching & Teaching: Deliver sound, expository, biblical sermons 26-39 Sundays per year in collaboration with other pastor.

  • Discipleship: Oversee small group and family ministries, and collaborate with other elders/deacons/staff to strategize other discipling initiatives.

  • Pastoral Care: Provide pastoral counseling, visit the sick, and support members in crisis.

  • Leadership: Serve as an equal among the board of elders to provide spiritual leadership for CityChurch.

  • Community Life: Active and vibrant participation in the life of CityChurch.

  • Mission & Outreach: Collaborate to explore and pursue opportunities for ministry and evangelism.

  • Administration: Offer administrative support to elders and deacons in the management of church operations.

Qualifications

  • Meets the biblical qualifications of elder in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:6–9

  • MDiv or similar degree from an accredited seminary

  • At least 5 years of experience in congregational ministry

  • Training and/or experience in pastoral counseling

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range of $55,000-$75,000 based on qualifications and experience

  • Paid vacation time

  • Annual continued education budget
